Our History
The school started as a day care centre (creche) in 2003 operating from the property that belonged to the municipality. The property was run-down, abandoned; the building had fallen into disrepair and dilapidated. The building was given to the local woman Ms Makeng Motsamai in 2001. Thari-Imbeleko has since become a thriving community school for youth in Soweto.

Who we are
Thari-imbeleko Christian School (TICS), situated on No. 7 Luthuli Road in Dobsonville, is registered with the Department of Education in the Independent Schools Directorate and also with the Department of Social Development as a non-government organization. Thari-Imbeleko Crèche grew and became a Primary School in 2014. The name has changed to Thari-Imbeleko Christian School.
What we do
The School is providing education equipping learners with sound biblically-based educational and life skills, as well as Godly wisdom, insight and character. The programme starts from Early Childhood Development (ECD) to Primary School. Since 2015 each year the Grade level has been advancing from grade 1 to grade 7.
